FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of obtaining articles from carbon-carbon composite material, highly porous with open cells, acquiring properties of heat and electrical conductivity after graphitization. Proposed method comprises making carbon graphitized foam workpiece with open cells of high porosity from mesophase pitch that is then compacted by carbon material by gas infiltration and subjected to graphitization. Foamed plastic workpiece is produced by mixing ground material - high-temperature coal-tar pitch with carbonized ultrafine carbon together with ultrafine particles of molybdenum disilicide in solid-phase state of components. Prior to mixing, high-temperature coal-tar pitch is subjected to preliminary thermo-oxidative treatment, and the components mixing process is carried out in a fluidised state by blowing a heated gas stream with temperature of 15–20 °C is lower than pitch softening temperature. After preliminary heat treatment of mixed components at temperature of 10–15 °C is filled with mold above the softening point of pitch. Under the appropriate heat treatment conditions, the plastic mass is converted to a mesophase state and the workpiece structure is formed for its carbonisation.;EFFECT: technical result of invention is production of carbon-carbon composite material with low bulk density and high structure strength.;1 cl, 1 tbl
