The invention relates to a timepiece comprising a hand (2) moving alternately in a first direction, then in a second direction opposite to the first direction along a scale (3), the absolute speed of movement in the first direction being equal to the speed of movement in the second direction. Indications (60, 70) near the two ends (31, 32) of the scale are changed between the first and the second direction of movement, in order to display the limits of this scale.
