Patterned fabric consisting of warp threads and weft threads in regular rep weave, the surfaces of the individual rep on the visible side of the fabric having a certain color impression and being formed by the weft threads, characterized in that the weft threads comprise a first group of 2 to 10 weft threads and that the 2 to 10 weft threads of the first group have different basic colors.
