Multi-stage filter with integrated activated carbon metering and circulation for flue gas cleaning with a focus on mercury sorption

The patent includes a multi-stage filter (2 and 4) with an integrated activated carbon or sorbent metering (8 to 10 and 3) in which sorbents are added between the two filter stages. The aim of the process is to carry out a flue gas cleaning with a focus on mercury sorption in such a way that the sorbent used can effectively be used several times. For this purpose, the sorbent-ash mixture obtained in the second filter stage after the filter cleaning is processed in subsequent treatment stages to such an extent that the majority of the sorbent can be reused via a circulation system (6, 9, 10 and 3).
