A method for preserving a dispersion in a dosing system is shown and described, the dispersion being stored in a container (1, 101, 201) which is part of the dosing system in which an oxidizing agent is introduced into the container (1, 101, 201) is introduced. A metering system designed for this process and the use of an oxidizing agent for preserving dispersions are also described.
