Process for matching color representation on the basis of spectral color impressions for different output applications based on the data processing of color information values for different output applications and different color values according to usual standards regarding a controlled, loss-free and color-correct representation of certain given color impressions with a location-independent adjustment and adjustment of the color data. The method contains instructions for identifying and providing specific color data as a spectral data record in an IT infrastructure, which are converted and transmitted in real time for an output application, taking into account values related to the request, into a device-specific color profile for a specific output device.
