Method and device for cleaning components (16), in particular media-carrying components, which have an inlet opening (18) and an outlet opening (20) fluidly connected to the inlet opening (18), characterized by the following steps: - connecting the inlet opening (18) to a compressed air source (26), - repeated opening and subsequent closing of the outlet opening (20), so that the pressure build-up in the component (16) and the pressure drop in the component (16) due to the opening, resulting in the component (16) existing particles are dissolved and removed with compressed air.
