The invention relates to a spacer fabric with two knitted layers (1) and spacer threads (2a, 2b) connecting the knitted layers (1), wherein a knitted layer (1) is at least partially and at least part of the spacer threads (2a) formed by metal braid. According to the invention, both knitted fabric layers (1) have metal braid, which is arranged in such a way that a flat electrical and thermal conduction is provided through the metal braid on both knitted fabric layers (1), the knitted fabric layers 1 being electrical with the spacer threads (2a, 2b) formed from metal braid and are thermally conductively connected to one another.
