The invention relates to a machine for producing a paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous web (1) with at least one drying section (2) for drying the fibrous web (1), in which the fibrous web (1) is made of an air-permeable, endless rotating dryer fabric (10) is alternately guided over heated drying cylinders (12) and suctioned guide rollers (11), whereby an efficient use of energy is to be ensured in that at least some of the waste heat (13) from the dryer section (2) is fed to an absorption refrigerator (6) which is used to provide a cooling fluid (14) and the fibrous web (1) after the drying section (2) is acted upon by this cooling fluid (14) via at least one treatment unit (7, 8, 9).
