Functional unit (1) for a shower toilet seat (2), at least comprising: - a base plate (3) made of plastic for attachment to a ceramic (4); - a cover (5) for at least partially covering the base plate (3) on the ceramic (4); and- at least one fastening element (6, 7) for the shower toilet seat (2), the at least one fastening element (6, 7) being at least partially cast into the base plate (3). The present invention also relates to a method for producing a base plate (3) for a functional unit (1) of a shower toilet seat (2).
