The invention relates to a vehicle tire with two bead areas (1) with bead cores (2), each bead core (2) being spirally wound from a linear reinforcement (8) to form an annular bead core (2). The linear reinforcement (8) is a cord made of non-metallic materials and has at least two twisted linear elements, preferably yarns, the cord - either being a cord (8) made of non-metallic high-modulus material, preferably PBO - or a hybrid cord (8) in which a linear element made of a non-metallic, high-modulus material and in which another linear element consists of a non-metallic, low-modulus material.
