The blocking element according to the invention for the rotor head winding of a turbogenerator has a spatial shape which is adapted to the contour of the adjoining partial conductors of the rotor head winding. On its side facing the partial conductor there is an indentation which extends in the axial direction and forms a serpentine channel for a cooling fluid from an inlet opening on the small radius to an outlet opening on the highest radius, the outlet opening having a ventilation hole in the rotor cap surrounding the rotor winding head communicates. With a reduced volume flow of cooling fluid, the invention brings about an increased cooling effect and thus an increase in efficiency of the turbogenerator as a whole.
