A waveguide device includes: an electrically conductive member having an electrically conductive surface; a waveguide member that extends along the electrically conductive surface and an artificial magnetic conductor that extends on both sides of the waveguide member. The waveguide member has: a first portion that extends in one direction; and at least two branches extending from one end of the first section, the at least two branches having a second section and a third section extending in mutually different directions. A waveguide, which is defined by the electrically conductive surface, the waveguide surface and the artificial magnetic conductor, has an increase in distance at which a distance between the electrically conductive surface and the waveguide surface is locally increased. At least a part of a transition at which the first section of the waveguide member is joined to the at least two branches overlaps the increase in distance, viewed in a direction perpendicular to the electrically conductive surface.
