Flame-retardant polymer compositions based on the bioplastic cellulose acetate

Cellulose acetate as the bioplastic of the future has been mixed with suitable innovative flame retardant additives in order to significantly expand the application possibilities of this renewable and biodegradable plastic. In addition, methods for recycling and degrading cellulose acetate-based plastics in ecologically and toxicologically harmless sugar components under mild conditions are described.
