A vehicle control system, the system comprising: an object detector configured to detect objects near a host vehicle; a location detector configured to indicate a location of the host vehicle; a configuration card adapted to indicate a configuration of the object detector for the location of the object detector; anda control circuit in communication with the object detector, the location detector and the configuration card, wherein the control circuit is configured to operate the object detector according to the configuration for the location of the object detector, detecting human override of an automatic operating mode of the host vehicle at the location, and updating the configuration card for the location according to the detected objects and in response to human override of the automatic mode.
