A multipurpose connector (100) for connecting a plurality of lines of an aircraft monument (50) is described. The multipurpose connector (100) comprises a base bracket (110), a system connector plate (120) that is configured to receive a plurality of first line adapters (121-124), a monument connector plate (130) that is designed to hold at least one second line adapter (131-134), and a movement device (105, 108) which is set up to move the system connection plate (120) relative to the base bracket (110) and the monument connection plate (130) between an open position and a closed position. The system connection plate (120) is arranged in the closed position relative to the monument connection plate (130) in such a way that the at least one second line adapter (131 - 134) of the monument connection plate (130) with an associated first line adapter (121 - 124) of the system connection plate (120) is effectively connected, and in the open position of the system connection plate (120) the plurality of first line adapters (121-124) and the at least one second line adapter (131-134) are detached from one another. An aircraft monument (50), an aircraft area (5) and an aircraft (1) with a corresponding multi-purpose connection (100) are also described.
