The top surface (2) has a facet (40) with a facet surface (42) on at least one of the two edge surfaces (10, 20), whereby a residual edge surface (60) with a thickness DR and a contour line on the edge surface (10, 20) KR is formed, the contour line KR being at a distance zR from the lower edge (100). The panel (1) has an edge index IN = WNVY at the corner E and the adjacent remaining edge surface (60) with WN = WY and VY ≠ 0, where Vy denotes the distance between the contour lines KR and KEin y-direction and the following applies to IN: 0.1 ≤ IN≤ 1.5 (condition 1).
