The processor is further configured to determine that there is a predefined condition that defines a situation in which content acceleration is meaningful. The processor is further configured to determine a broadcast content rendering point at which content is to be sped up and to play a predetermined portion of the cache in response to reaching the rendering point at a predefined accelerated speed.
