A power module according to various aspects of the present disclosure includes a housing and a heat-conducting element. The housing contains a polymer. The housing at least partially defines a channel. The channel is configured to receive a fluid. The heat-conducting element is at least partially arranged within the housing. The thermally conductive element is in fluid communication with the channel. The heat-conducting element contains a heat-conducting material. The heat-conducting element is in thermal connection with the channel and a heat source. In certain aspects, the heat-conducting component includes at least one of a protrusion, a pin, and a jacket. A method of making a channel with a heat-conducting element for heat transfer includes (a) molding a channel, (b) molding a housing, and (c) removing a sacrificial material.
