This disclosure provides adaptive plug-in reminder via smart phone application. A vehicle includes a controller that is programmed to recognize a parking event at a location, learn the loading intent associated with the location, and in response to predicting an intention to load the vehicle at the parking location and recognizing that a user has left an environment of the vehicle without connecting a charger to cause a device connected to the user to issue a charging reminder. The controller predicts the loading intention based on context data from previous parking events.
