A loading arm device, which is used in particular for loading fluids, has a main arm (14) which is carried by a base station (10). An outer arm (24) is pivotably connected to the main arm (14). Furthermore, the main arm (14) is connected to a counterweight arm (30) at the rear part. A coupling element ensures that the counterweight arm (30) is arranged parallel to the outer arm (24) in different pivoting positions. Furthermore, switching elements (38, 40) are provided in order to trigger a switching process at a maximum scissor angle between the main arm (14) and the outer arm (24). According to the invention, one of the switching elements (40) is permanently connected to the counterweight arm (30) or the outer arm (24) and the other switching element (38) is rotatably connected to the main arm (14).
