The present disclosure provides a steering wheel vibration reducing device including: a vibration torque signal detector that detects a vibration torque signal according to a torque generated according to vibrations of a steering wheel; a wheel frequency detection device that detects a frequency of the vibration torque signal and, if the frequency corresponds to a previously set wheel frequency condition, detects the frequency as the wheel frequency; and a vibration reduction torque signal generator that generates a vibration reduction torque signal using the wheel frequency and controls the motor so that a torque for reducing the vibration of the steering wheel is generated by the motor, and a steering wheel vibration reduction method. According to the present disclosure, a steering wheel vibration reduction device and a steering wheel vibration reduction method capable of detecting vibrations generated in a steering wheel that change frequently according to external environmental factors and minimizing the vibrations can be obtained.
