A method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric is provided, in which there is no restriction for the formation of a band-shaped part if a tubular knitted fabric is knitted with a tubular base part and a band-shaped part formed on an end part of the tubular part. The method is a method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric by which a band-shaped part 20 having a two-layer structure is connected to a tubular end part 10E of a tubular base part 10 using a flat knitting machine. When the tubular base part 10 and the band-shaped part 20 are connected to each other, the connection is performed by moving the base part 10 to the side of the band-shaped part 20. The tubular base part 10 is rotated.
