A step mechanism 3 is provided for use in an additive manufacturing apparatus 1 for forming a three-dimensionally shaped object by stacking layers formed by a layer forming unit. The step mechanism 3 is arranged with: a porous plate for adhering a flexible sheet 5 by vacuum suction; and a base 30 supporting the porous plate and a space defined inside the base and an inlet port for connecting the space and a decompression device 4. The base 30 moves up and down relative to a film forming unit 2 of the additive manufacturing device 1 so that the molded article is formed on the flexible sheet 5 adhered to the porous plate 31 by vacuum suction.
