Device (07, 15, 24) for preheating molten slag for glass production using flue-gas, in particular for preheating glass shards and/or mixtures of glass (06),with a preheating bunker in which the melting straw (06) is conveyed and preheated from top to bottom as a melting straw current, with several flue-gas channels flowing internally from the flue-gas and flowing externally from the melt-straw (06), and the preheating bunker having a vapour section (08, 16, 25) having a section of the flue-gas channels (12, 20, 31) in the evaporation section (08, 16, 25) having a cross section open downwards, so that the water vapour emitted by heating from the melting liquor (06) can flow into the flue-gas channels (12, 20, 31) and be discharged through the flue-gas,characterised by the fact that a second part of the flue-gas channels (13, 19, 30) in the evaporation section (08, 16, 25) has a closed cross-section, so that the heating of the melting stock (06) in the evaporation section (08, 16, 25) can additionally be done indirectly and without direct contact between the flue-gas and the melting stock.
