Device (1) for treating containers (10) and in particular plastic containers with a transport unit (2),which transports the containers (10) along a specified transport path (P), the transport path (P) being situated within a clean space (20), the device (1) having a locking device (6) suitable and intended to exclude containers (10) from the transport path (P), characterized by the fact that the device (1) has a receptacle space (8) for discharged containers (10) and can be discharged from that receptacle space (8) containers (10) without removing the clean room conditions within the clean room (20),where the device (1) has a first valve (12) to empty the recording room (8).
