Magazine for taking food items before putting them on a spike,where the magazine is made up of at least two identical basic units (1, 101),where each of the basic units (1, 101) has:a median wall extending in a longitudinal direction of the base unit (1, 101) (2),a first bearing block (5), which is formed at the first longitudinal end of the middle wall (2),a second bearing block (6) which is formed at a second longitudinal end of the centre wall (2); andan orthogonal base plate (2) arranged to the middle wall (7, 107),which, as a lateral end in a first direction, has a first gear profile and, as a lateral end in a second direction opposite the first direction, has a second gear profile, which is formed as a negative image of the first gear profile, having in an arrangement in which the base plates (7, 107) a first base unit (1, 101) and a second base unit (1, 101) are arranged in one plane and the first gear profile of the first base unit (1, 101) intervenes in the second gear profile of the second base unit (1, 101) along the longitudinal direction of the base units (1,101) at least one chamber for the reception of the food items and a passage for the spear.
