Optical device for generating rainbow-like light effects comprising: - a body made of one or more dispersive materials, - The body corresponds to a dispersion prism and thus essentially has an optical entrance and exit surface which are arranged in a wedge shape to one another (FIG. 1). - the body is curved, so that the typical prism angles (apex angle γ, angle of incidence, angle of exit, angle of deflection) vary spatially along the body and thus also the beam path through the body (Fig. 3). An approximately parallel bundle of rays is thereby spectrally split according to the body and spatially bent.
