Protective device (10) for the prevention of injuries to an engine-operated disc (12), comprising:(a) a mounting device (22) with an engine (24); and(b) a drive shaft (28) stored in the assembly device (22), the drive shaft (12) for rotation on the drive shaft (28) driven by the engine (24);(c) a working surface (16) with a slit (30) through which the separating disc (12) is guided;(d) a vibrating arm rotating around the drive shaft (28) (64);(e) a protective cap (31) which is positioned moveably on the swing arm (64) over a section of the release disc (12) for the cutting of the cutting material, characterized by:(f) the vibrating arm (64) with a recording aperture (66) is mounted in motion on the drive shaft (28).
