Sensor network-based power network monitoring system, characterized in that it comprises a high-density monitoring module, a low-density monitoring module, an access node device and a background system; that the high density monitoring module comprises a high density current tower, a high density sensor and a convergence node device, wherein at least one high density sensor is attached to each high density current tower, the high density sensor is connected to the convergence node device, the convergence node device is connected to the access node device, and all convergence node devices are connected to one another; that the low density monitoring module comprises a low density current tower and a low density sensor, the low density sensor being attached to the low density current tower, the low density sensor being connected to the access node device; that the access node device is connected to the background system.
