The subject of the invention is a method for optimizing the design of a device comprising interrogation means and a differential passive sensor, comprising a generator connected directly or indirectly to a reader antenna, a passive sensor comprising at least two resonators, a sensor antenna connected to said sensor characterized in that it comprises the following steps: determining a set of PSAW curves as a function of the interrogation frequency of the sensor, each curve being defined for a given impedance ZT representing the impedance of the equivalent Thévenin generator depending on the impedance of the reader antenna, the impedance of the sensor antenna and the coupling between the two antennas, for a given ZSAW sensor impedance; - the selection of at least one PSAW curve from the set of predefined curves that meet two criteria: • present two frequency peaks representative of a coherent differential sensor behavior; • have a width at mid-height of the two said peaks less than a threshold value; - determining the sensor antenna having the sensor antenna impedance correlated with the PSAW curve selected for the predefined SAW sensor.
