Retractable device comprising a first box (1) containing a terminal (10), movable in translation between a high position, in which an upper part of the terminal extends outside the first box, and a low position, in which the entire retractable bollard is retracted inside the first box, and a second box (2), containing a counterweight (20), of mass less than the mass of the retractable bollard. The retractable bollard is connected to the counterweight by a set of cables (21) to exert on the retractable bollard a force directed from the bottom upwards. At least one gas spring (31, 32) 10) is connected by a first end (210) to an anchor point (35) arranged on a bottom of the first box and by a second end (211) to a point d 'fastener (33) disposed in the interior volume (104) of the retractable bollard to exert on the bollard a force directed from the bottom up and adjusted so that the force exerted by the at least one gas spring added to the force exerted by the counterweight on the retractable bollard causes the said retractable bollard to rise to the high position.
