The present invention relates to a system (1) for agitating liquid contained in a container, the system (1) comprising: a support (10); a motor (20); a primary propeller (30) comprising: a primary hub (31) pivotally mounted about a first axis (A30) relative to the support (10) and driven in rotation by the motor (20), and at least one blade (32 ; 32, 33, 34) integral with the primary hub (31) and having an end (32a) opposite the primary hub (31); and a secondary propeller (40) comprising: a secondary hub (41) pivotally mounted about a second axis (A40) at the end (32a) of the blade (32) of the primary propeller (30) and driven in rotation, and a blade (42) integral with the secondary hub (41) and having one end (42a) opposite the secondary hub (41), said end (42a) following an elliptical path when the system (1) is in operation. The invention also relates to a method for stirring a liquid, implementing this system (1).
