A method assists driving a vehicle (V1) with automated driving and analyzing the environment in front of it to determine first information representative of dynamic objects (V2), attributes relating to the dynamics of these objects and pathways. circulation (VC1-VC8) on which these objects move. This method comprises a step in which: - the trajectory of at least one dynamic object (V2) located in front of the vehicle (V1) is determined from first information, and as a function of positions successively determined the current trajectory of the vehicle ( V1), then these determined trajectories are compared in order to determine if the trajectory of the dynamic object (V2) is compatible with the direction of circulation of the vehicle circulation lane (V1), then, in the negative, the automated driving of the vehicle (V1).
