The present invention relates to the use of compounds of dendrimer type of generation (n) or their salts comprising a central unit of valence 3 of formula (I), (n-1) internal generation layers composed of repeating units of formula (II) arranged in a tree structure around the central pattern, and an outer layer composed of units represented by formula (III), with n being an integer between 1 and 12, for the trapping of at least one chemical compound, contained in a liquid sample.
