The invention relates to a method of assembling sheets (1, 2), an end portion (1a) of a first sheet (1) overlapping an end portion (2a) of a second sheet (2) , with application of a bead of waterproof adhesive (3) in a width of the end portion of one of the sheets (1, 2), overlap of the end portions (1a, 2a) and crushing of the bead of adhesive (3) between the end portions (1a, 2a), local attachment of the end portions (1a, 2a) to each other, application of a first sealing bead (4) of mastic on a free end of the end portion (1a) of the first sheet (1) and on an area facing the second sheet (2), turning of the sheets (1, 2) and application of a second sealant bead (5) of mastic on a free end of the end portion (2a) of the second sheet (2) and on an area facing the first sheet (1).
