The invention relates to a cold production and management system comprising an absorption machine comprising a generator (101) for producing cold from a heat source derived from the fatal energy of the heat engine (201) comprising at least partially the waste heat of the exhaust gases of a heat engine (201) and the waste heat of the coolant of a cooling circuit (200) of the heat engine (201), a heat exchanger (10) arranged on an exhaust gas discharge line (11), a coupling circuit (600) configured to ensure the fluid connection of the cooling circuit (200) to the heat exchanger (10) then to the generator (101) , so as to transfer to the generator (101) the waste heat of the cooling circuit (200) and the waste heat of the exhaust gases characterized in that it comprises: an intermediate circuit (400) so as to transfer the waste heat exhaust gas to the generator (101) advantageously without fluid connection to the cooling circuit (200), a heating circuit (500) configured to ensure the fluid connection from the cooling circuit (200) to the heat exchanger (10) without fluid connection to the generator (101), and a circuit management module. It finds a particularly advantageous application in applications using an internal combustion engine, whether for stationary or unsteady uses.
