The infrastructure, preferably a drinking water distribution infrastructure, comprising a set of components (pipes 50, connections 60 or fittings accessories 40) comprising at least one component. The method comprises steps of modeling a risk of failure (130) from exploration of data on a set of physical data (102) corresponding to physical parameters (101) of said set of components to constitute groupings ( 122) of similar components or enrich the physical data set from a shared database of physical data set of several fluid network infrastructures, of hierarchization of said component (140) of the set of components by taking into account the risk of failure and priority to the renewal and identification of the components (150) according to their classification.
