Method for determining the healthy or diseased character of each plant (21) of a set (20) of plants, the plants each resulting from the grafting of a graft (21A) onto a rootstock (21B), the method comprising the steps following: - arrangement of the plants in a tank (110) containing a hot liquid (30), with the ends of the plants on the root side (21B) in contact with the hot liquid and the opposite ends of the plants bathing in the surrounding air ; - Using a thermal camera (120), acquisition of at least one image of the plants seen from above; processing of the at least one image so as to determine, for each plant, and for each acquired image, a value representative of a temperature; and - determination of the healthy or sick character of each plant. The invention also covers a device suitable for implementing such a method.
