The invention relates to a method for protecting a digital document capable of being displayed in the form of pixels on a screen of a display device provided with a screen and at least one sensor capable of detecting a variable physical quantity as a function of a physical action carried out on the display device, characterized in that it comprises a step consisting in inserting into the digital document at least one digital security element whose display depends in a predefined manner on the physical quantities detected by said at least one sensor.
