The selection process, implemented by the terminal according to the invention, comprises the steps of: - reception of a so-called information packet, coming from a device for supplying information characteristic of a network access, the terminal being connected to this access network; and - as a function of the characteristic information obtained from the information packet, at least one step from: - maintaining a connection to at least one access network to which the terminal is already connected; and - connection to at least one other said access network.
