Method of conditioning by cementing an acidic waste

The invention relates to a process for conditioning by cementing an acid waste in which the acid waste is chosen from liquids with a pH at most equal to 4, semi-liquids with a pH at most equal to 4, solids of which the partial or total dissolution in water leads to a solution or suspension of pH at most equal to 4, and mixtures thereof, which process comprises the steps of: a) preparation of a cementitious paste having at less as components: a phosphomagnesium cement and the acid waste, and b) hardening of the cement paste thus obtained, and is characterized in that in step a), the cement paste is prepared without the acid waste having been previously subjected to a treatment consisting in lowering its acidity. Applications: conditioning of any acidic waste whatever its origin and, more specifically, of acidic waste produced in the nuclear industry.
