The invention relates to a method for the functional diagnosis of a clutch (2) of a compressor (3) of an air conditioning system, the clutch (2) being associated with a driven pulley (4), a sensor detecting the vibrations of a engine block surrounding a heat engine by supporting the compressor (3) and its clutch (2) and delivering vibration signals.
