A device for determining a minimum continuous power induced in a receptacle associated with induction means, said induction means being integrated into a resonant circuit (L, C) supplied by an inverter power supply device comprising a switch (IGBT) and a freewheeling diode (D) connected in parallel with the switch (IGBT), the switch (IGBT) being controlled at a switching frequency, comprises… - measuring means (20) of a current (i) flowing through the switch (IGBT) and the freewheeling diode (D); - means for generating (40) a level signal (SWITCH) indicating whether, during a period of time (Tr) at the start of a switching period (T), the measured current has a value equal to a predetermined maximum threshold value; and - selection means (50) of a maximum switching frequency corresponding to the frequency at which the switch is controlled (IGBT) when the level signal (SWITCH) is generated.
