The device is intended to be secured at one of the ends of a box in which is housed the shaft around which the apron is wound, and comprises a guide flange intended to be housed in the box and configured to guide the winding of the apron, a closing cheek 1 intended to be secured to one of the ends of the box, and a maneuver 2, 3, 4 capable of allowing the winding of the apron from outside the box. The cheek is configured to carry the shaft, and the maneuver comprises return means 2 intended to be housed in the box and a winch 3 accessible from outside the box, the return means being fixed to the internal wall 1a of the cheek and configured to be connected to the shaft and to the winch, this winch being fixed to the outer wall 1b of the cheek and assembled from the outside to the return means, so that when the device is secured to the box and that the winch is driven in rotation around a first axis (A) parallel to, and distinct from, the axis of the shaft (B), the shaft is driven in rotation about its axis by the return means.
