Shutter stopper intended to be fixed on a door sill or French window in order to limit the closing stroke of the leaf. The stop according to the invention consists of two parts: a stopper (4) fixed on the threshold, cooperating with a plate (2) fixed on the leaf. The stopper (4) can be of moderate height so as not to create an obstacle for the feet of people, insofar as the plate can protrude under the bottom of the leaf in order to compensate for the play between the threshold and the bottom of the leaf .
