[The invention relates to a method of evaluating the production of photovoltaic energy for an energy supply installation (11) located on a site (1), the energy supply installation (11) comprising at least an electricity production unit (12) having at least one photovoltaic module (14); characterized in that the photovoltaic energy production evaluation method comprises the following steps: - determination of past or predictive irradiance values for the site (1) on which the energy supply installation (11) is implanted, said determination being carried out for time intervals of between one second and two years, and - evaluation of the photovoltaic power generated as a function of the determined irradiance values and of digital values pre-recorded in a database (30), this database (30) comprising for each day of the year and various times of each day prerecorded digital values making it possible to determine the photovoltaic electric power generated as a function of the irradiance.
