An ear hair length maintenance device comprising a body with an open face 33 and a cutter, wherein the cutter is operable within the open face and the body is configured to locate the cutter within the ear of a user, such that the cutter is enabled to cut a user's ear hair. The body may be arranged to surround the user’s ear, and preferably comprises a heat-resistant side protection 4 around the face. The cutter is preferably a butane flame, but the use of blades or lasers is also disclosed. The device may include a mesh over part of the open face. Preferably, the body is oval in form and comprises a convex top casing 2.
