An electrical power extension module comprises an elongate protective housing, first retaining means (401, 402, Figure 4a) and a first electrical connector (403, Figure 4a) located at a first end of the housing, second retaining means (411, 412, Figure 4b) and a second electrical connector (413, Figure 4b) located at a second end of the housing, and electrical conduction means 205, 206 electrically connecting the first and second electrical connectors. The retaining means and electrical connectors mechanically engage and electrically connect the module with another power extension module. The housing has side portions comprising ramp profiles. A further electrical power extension module comprises a non-deformable housing and an electrical socket (301, Figure 3), in addition to having retaining means and electrical connectors at first and second ends of the housing. The upper surface of the housing may comprise a lighting strip 201. An assembly is provided in which a plurality of electrical power extension modules are connected in series to a transformer (102, Figure 1) and a power source (101, Figure 1).
