The invention relates to a door (4) for a cooking appliance (1), comprising a front panel (6) and an inner panel (7) arranged at a distance therefrom, as well as a strip-type connection element (12) to which the inner panel (7) is fixed, and which is arranged in an upper region of the inner panel (7), in the vertical direction (y) of the door (4), and extends in the width direction (x) of the door (4), the connection element (12) engaging with the inner panel (7) on an upper edge (42), and the connection element (12) comprising at least one connecting link (27, 28) by means of which the connection element (12) is arranged on a separate holding part (13) of the door (4).
